Booking.com is a Dutch online travel agency for lodging reservations & other travel products created 25 years ago in 1995 in the Netherlands. The website has now over 28 million listings, and is available in 43 languages. Since then, Booking.com has grown from a small Dutch start-up to one of the largest travel e-commerce companies in the world.

Booking.com allows travellers to be connected with a wide selection of places to stay, from luxury hotel in Paris to a design hostel in Stockholm, from beach villas in Bali to charming B&Bs in London, travellers will find an accommodation fitting their needs, and they’ll be able to instantly book their ideal accommodation quickly and easily, without booking fees.

This app might be on the the most used app I have on my iPhone. With a smooth process and flexible conditions, booking an accommodation has never been easier.

The user flow starts with a simple search based on the city the traveller is aiming to visit, the dates he’s planning the trip, and the persons

Then, the filter features will allow the user to narrow this wide research to a specific one: more 5 stars hotel or cheap hostel? Downtown or in the quiet suburb, 50$/night or 500$/night? Theses filters, as powerful as they are, are essential for a plateform such as Booking.com with nearly 30 millions listings.

Weather the user is using filters or not, ratting and comments from Booking’s wide community will help him in choosing the right accommodation. After selection its accommodation, the user will be able to choose specific details regarding this accommodation: type of room, breakfast, free cancelation option, etc.

Moreover, the user will have the opportunity to confirm its booking without ended up paying for it, as Booking.com is offering free cancellation and late payments for most of its offers.

Finally, the user also have the possibility to create wishlist with accommodations based on the city or an interest, without any booking necessary.

Let’s have a look bellow at the full breakdown of Booking.com flow:
